Zesty Habanero Pickle Relish
I peered into my refrigerator and looked into a half empty jar of NRB Zesty habanero pickles and had an idea. I extracted 4 lonely spears and a few floating slices of habanero peppers. I diced all of these flavor bombs together and mixed in a bit of olive oil just to bind the mixture together. I grilled a few hot dogs and generously sprinkled on this freshly made relish.
The spicy, crunchy, brinery flavor was the perfect topping for a hot dog still steaming from the grill.
I will never again consume a hot dog without this delicious concoction.

4 spears pickles
2 strips habanero pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
- Dice pickle spears to a medium size dice: see photo.
- Dice habanero peppers in similar size dice.
- Mix peppers and diced pickles together with the olive oil. (Add more oil if necessary to bind mixture)
- Taste, add salt and pepper to taste.
(If you prefer a little more heat add more diced habanero peppers to the mix.)
